  • 2PM Jay Post-It Support Event

Aww, taking credit where credit isn't due?  You guys are adorable.  Really.  You truly are.  Because, you know, you're the co-founders of NYC Hottest.  You should be recognized for doing so, ne?

Here's where the sarcasm stops.  You can't create a fan club, in case you didn't realize that.  A fan club is a group comprised of fans, and taking all the credit for an event fueled by the love and dedication of many other people is just disgusting.  What these "co-founders" failed to mention that it took the hard work of a lot of people to make the event a success.  There were people that traveled for hours, coming from out of state, just to attend the event and show their support for Jay.  However, after putting up their post-its and signing the fan guestbook, they were rudely told to leave for the fear that it would become "too crowded."  Well I'm sorry I didn't follow my asshole-administrator "duties" yesterday by not making people leave (and even encouraging people to stay), but I will stand by my decision.  I didn't care if I looked rude, unruly, or disobedient for doing so, because the "duties" assigned to Ren and myself were full of douchebaggery and didn't match our intentions for helping with the event in the first place.

In case anyone was unaware, these were the administrators for the event:

Notice how Ren and I are included.  These are the people who were messaged requests for post-its for almost a week.  Then, the night before the event took place (after Ren and I had already helped take part in writing post-its for international and out-of-state fans who couldn't attend the event), we were assigned rather insulting duties which made us feel stripped of any connection to the event at all.

For this event there are going to be THREE main admins. Me/Alice and Muriel.

We have already made a list of everyone's duties for tomorrow.

    Guidelines for Admins.

    1. Do not interfere with anyone else's job.

    2. Do NOT talk to any of the Media. Only the three main admins are allowed to discuss our situation. If the media does come to you please just say 'We cannot discuss this, please talk to those (point to us) admins"

    3. Regarding LUNCH BREAK, since we ALL cant go and get food. We will assign one person to get us lunch. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!

    4. ALL pictures taken tomorrow should be taken by EMILY, with her camera! IF PICTURES ARE TAKEN WITH YOUR OWN CAMERA, ALL PICTURES SHOULD BE LATER ON GIVEN TO MURIEL SO SHE CAN MARK IT AS OURS! No pictures shall be on anyone's personal page. CREDITS WILL GO TO THE GROUP NOT TO THE INDIVIDUAL.

    5. Other than the people listed and approved by admins will not be allowed to stay. NO SPECIAL TREATMENTS.

    6. Do not talk to ANY JYPE Staff, please direct them to us.

IF ANYONE GOES AGAINST THE GUIDELINES THEY SHALL BE REMOVED AS AN ADMIN AND LEAVE RIGHT AWAY.

WE WILL NOT TAKE ANY SUGGESTIONS FROM THIS POINT ON. BE AT JYP CENTER TOMORROW AT 11:30! WE WILL HAVE A RECAP ON THE GUIDELINES TOMORROW.

FOR MORE QUESTIONS JUST MESSAGE ME.

These rules were never discussed with us beforehand, so we never officially agreed to them.  Therefore, when we gave "special treatment" to people (by telling them they were free to stay when it wasn't crowded), we were scolded for it.  SERIOUS. FUCKING. BUSINESS.  Eventually Shih Mei look the reins and found a peaceful solution: lunch break in K-Town.  To be honest, I (and I can speak for the others by saying this) had a lot more fun catching lunch in K-Town and walking around than I did at the damn post-it event itself.  Sure, there were times where anger took over and ranting was rampant, but overall it was a great couple of hours that really put the whole situation into perspective.  The event was about showing our love and support, and that's exactly what we did.

So if anybody asks you, "Hey, who organized that post-it event?" be sure to answer with, "Every 2PM fan that was affected by Jay's situation."  Don't only give credit to NYC Hottest, or to anyone in particular for that matter.  People from all over the world were deeply moved by recent events, and whether they're on camera or not, they surely made this event a success.  I want to thank everyone who took part in the event (and I want to thank those who couldn't, but were with us in spirit).  Without all Hottests, none of this would have been possible.

I have uploaded pictures from the event here.  I do not claim ownership over any of the images (even though I took them all XD), so please feel free to use them in personal blogs, websites, etc.  Showing support is the best thing we can do for Jay right now--because he's not just a member of 2PM, but a human being who didn't deserve the treatment he received.
